Midlife crisis or just feeling shit
You've picked a path. You have a goal. Something to work on, something to acheive.
Things go well. You may hit a few minor problems, maybe a setback here and there. You pause, listen to feedback and take stock of what you need to do to get back on course.
Then you pick yourself up and start afresh, this time with new purpose and enthusiasm.
Sometimes though, you have to accept that it is just not worth it.
Write off the time and effort spent and admit that you cannot always achieve what you originally wanted to do. You have failed, get over it.
Sometimes perhaps it is better to focus on what you are already good at and build on that.
